    Statement of Faith
The belief system by which a Christ follower acknowledges the redemptive work of the Messiah in the context of his or her relationship with God the Father
Funderburke preaches Christ-crucified and repentance from dead works through the power of the Holy Spirit. He maintains that Jesus is the only way to God the Father and a right-standing relationship with our Creator. The inerrant Word of God, Funderburke asserts, is the litmus test and standard of absolute truth by which Christians are instructed to live and demonstrate the love of Christ to a lost world in need of His atoning sacrifice for the remission of sin.
    Profession of Faith
The personal testimony by which a Christ follower solidified and/or rededicated his or her life to the Lord Jesus
Funderburke, a certified financial planner and broken vessel of Christ, accepted Jesus into his heart at the age of 12. He rededicated his life to the Lord after an NBA road game against the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls on February 28, 1998, while a member of the Sacramento Kings. “I had no peace that game and knew the Lord was calling me back to spiritual intimacy with Him,” Funderburke shares. “Our team plane landed in Sacramento later that evening and I had two things on my mind: make peace with God and call Monya, who at the time, was back in Columbus and would play a pivotal role in my development. In the center of the living room, there my 6’9’’ body was curled up in a fetal position as I cried until sunrise and repented of a life in open rebellion to God. The spiritual warfare was so intense that fateful night as I renounced the deeds of darkness and entered back into the Lord’s glorious light.” He adds, “This was the first step to wholeness for me, allowing Jesus carte blanche to mold me into His image.” Funderburke’s experiences—setbacks and triumphs—are highlighted in The Stewardship Playbook to help his brothers and sisters in Christ run their race at an acceptable pace in this stewardship development space.
